Earth Libraries will digitally release the B-side of a 12” single by the soul/blues/funk nonagenarian singer Bobby Rush. That B-side is the horn-flecked, dancefloor-flooding “Gotta Have Money”, though for my money it’s only setting the table for the torrential synth-laden dance-funk of the inevitable A-side, “She Put the Whammy On Me” – both songs originally recorded in the 70’s and only finally surfacing now. They feature Bobby Rush vocals and the late Cleve Eaton on bass. They are classic Bobby Rush. Funky, soul blues that Bobby Rushdoes so well. They will be released digitally and also on 12" vinyl.
